West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison admits the "tables have turned" as he kickstarts his career this season.
After a season on loan under the guidance of Birmingham City manager Lee Clark, Morrison has return to East London a matured character.
"The tables have turned now," the 20-year-old told whufc.com.
"Two years ago, it was always bad stuff and negative, but now when I see it, it's always good stuff.
"Obviously I have to thank Lee Clark for what he did for me at Birmingham last season, and my family have also been there for me.
"At West Ham, they have helped me too since I've been back at the club.
"I'm really pleased with my call-up.
"I last played for England when I was 17 or 18 so I'm really looking forward to pulling on the shirt again."
