Man City boss Guardiola admits Haaland absence for Brighton

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland will be unavailable to face Brighton on Thursday.

The Premier League title contenders and three-peat champions must win to keep pace with Arsenal and Liverpool at the top.

City take on Brighton as one of their games in hand over the other two teams, but manager Pep Guardiola will have to do without his ace marksman.

“Erling is not ready for tomorrow. The other two [Phil Foden and John Stones] are ready," he said in Wednesday's pre-match press conference.

“It's not a big issue but he's not available," he continued on Haaland.

“Every player deserves to play," he added on rotation.

“Everyone has their starting XI or favorite players but everyone has their contribution.

“We have had three or four days since the last game against Chelsea."
