Really? Man Utd try to low-ball Newcastle on Ashworth

Manchester United chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe must pay up if he wants Dan Ashworth.

The Newcastle United sporting director is on gardening leave, as he wants to join the Red Devils.

However, United co-owner Ratcliffe has been reluctant to pay the £13 million or more that Newcastle want for Ashworth.

Per The Telegraph, Ratcliffe made a £2 million offer, but Newcastle want that upped to at least £15 million.

They are even asking for a further £5 million in add-ons, depending on how the Red Devils perform in the coming years.

There is no indication that the two parties are close to finding an agreement.
