Manchester City are out of the 2014/15 UEFA Youth League following a dramatic 2-1 loss to Roma on Tuesday night.
Patrick Vieira's City side finished the quarter-final contest with just nine men at the Stadio Domenico Francioni while Roma also had a player sent off in a highly volatile match in Latina.
City's Kean Bryan picked up a second yellow card on the hour-mark, moments before Tomas Vestenicky opened the scoring for the Giallorossi.
Jack Byrne then joined Bryan in the sheds before Roma's aptly-named Lorenzo Pellegrini gave the capital club a two-goal lead in the 86th minute.
City had a late chance to put some pressure on the home side when Thierry Ambrose converted from the penalty spot after Elio Capradossi was given his marching orders but the Roman side held on to set up a semi-final showdown with Chelsea which takes place in Nyon on April 10.
