Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp feels Raheem Sterling is the best young winger to emerge at Anfield since Steve McManaman.

Redknapp wrote in the Daily Mail: "Since Steve McManaman left for Real Madrid in 1999, Liverpool have been crying out for a truly classy winger.

"They might have found their man in Raheem Sterling, still only 17. Defenders look scared of his electric pace and he took his goal so coolly under pressure against Reading."
