Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis says they won't be held to ransom over their pursuit of Palermo striker Paulo Dybala.
The Argentine has been linked with a January move to Napoli.
But ADL insists: "(Palermo president Maurizio) Zamparini tries to patch up the finances of Palermo with a footballer, though he is a very good footballer. But this is not good.
"I cannot disrupt the finances of Napoli to please Zamparini. We are going to look for another Dybala.
"But then, do we need Dybala? No, we have an attack which is going very well, we do not need him."
