Napoli are tracking Real Betis striker Mariano Pavone.

Napoli chief Pierpaolo Marino is aware that Pavone has been linked with a move away from Seville this month and is monitoring developments closely.

With Marcelo Zalayeta attracting interest from Espanyol and Sampdoria, Marino sees Pavone as a potential replacement for the Uruguay international.

Meanwhile, Velez Sarsfield have contacted Betis about taking Pavone in co-ownership.
