Former Tottenham captain Gary Mabbutt is convinced they can still finish in the top four.
Mabbutt, 51, believes AVB has enough talent, ability and hunger within the ranks to challenge rivals Chelsea and Arsenal.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: "Fortunately Tottenham have got a very strong squad together and they have a great attitude. I think we have enough strength to come through this.
"We've got strong players in the squad - a lot of players that have a lot of experience.
"Of course, pace is the key in a lot of games, certainly when you've got players like Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon."
But Mabbutt has warned Spurs' stars they must be prepared for a scrap to get over the finishing line. He said: "It's going to be a dogfight.
"Everything is still to play for.
"We've shown a lot of character so far this season.
"But we are going to need all of that character in the remaining games. I think we've still got enough about us to land a top-four place."
