Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has welcomed the potential arrival of Lukas Podolski from Arsenal.
The German striker is being heavily linked with a loan shift to the San Siro and Mancini feels the 29-year old would add plenty of strength to his Nerazzurri squad.
"I know him quite well as a player, I followed him at Arsenal and at Bayern before," Mancini wrote in a Q & A on Twitter.
"He's a strong player, natually left-sided. He would be a great reinforcement."
Reports are suggesting that Podolski will join Inter on an initial six-month loan for a fee of £1.5million before quite possibly moving on from Arsenal in the summer when his current contract ends.
