Hull boss Bruce in shock Fulham link

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is being linked with Fulham.

The Mirror says Bruce has emerged as a shock front runner to take over as Fulham manager.

The Hull City boss, who distanced himself from the job at hometown club Newcastle when he was linked with replacing Alan Pardew last month, has become a fans' favourite at the KC Stadium.

Bruce led the Tigers to the Premier League in his first season in charge, and then into Europe as FA Cup finalists six months ago.

But the alarm bells began to ring at Hull when odds on Bruce taking over from Felix Magath, sacked five weeks ago, were slashed from a distant 50-1 to as low as 5-2 at one stage.

The Craven Cottage club's caretaker boss Kit Symons has overwhelming support among Fulham's hardcore support to take over full-time from German taskmaster Felix Magath, who was in charge when the west Londoners were relegated from the top flight last season.
