Arnau considers Sunderland move

Falkirk midfielder Arnau will face parent club Sunderland on Thursday in a friendly and admits his future may lie beyond Wearside.

Arnau, who has a slight shin injury but should be fit to play, told the Sunday Sun: "I am looking forward to the game. It is a friendly but it will be good for me to play against Sunderland because I can show the staff there what I can do - I think it is good that they see me play.

"I don't know how strong a squad will come up from Sunderland but it will be good to play against some of my friends, although there have been a lot of changes to the squad since I came to Falkirk."

Arnau still has one more full season left on his contract with Sunderland but if he does not figure in Keane's plans, he may be allowed to move on at the end of the current campaign.

The ex-Barcelona midfielder added: "I haven't heard anything much from Sunderland and we'll see how it goes because I have one more year left on my contract - but for now I am just concentrating on my year with Falkirk."
