Zenit St Petersburg coach Luciano Spalletti is being linked with AC Milan.
Corriere dello Sport says if Milan fail to finish in the automatic Champions League places, Massimiliano Allegri will be shown the door.
Spalletti is high on Milan's shortlist of replacements, though he would have to accept a big pay-cut on his €6 million Zenit salary.
Also under consideration is Parma boss Roberto Donadoni and Italy coach Cesare Prandelli.
