Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane is backing Steven Gerrard for success in MLS.

Liverpool captain Gerrard has confirmed he will ply his trade in the MLS after deciding to call time on his glittering 17-year Anfield career when his contract expires.

"It is incredible he has never won a league title but he has had success with Liverpool," said Zidane.

"The years of him winning trophies are not behind him. I am sure he will be very successful in the MLS."
