Wigan talks for South Korea star Kim Jung-woo

After Kim impressed in a recent trial with The Latics, a switch appears to be on the cards according to the player's agent Kim Min-jae.

"Both (Kim Jung-woo) and Wigan believed the trial went well. There are some minor differences that need ironing out before the transfer can be concluded," Kim told MyDaily.

"We are still talking to Wigan at the moment."

The 25-year-old is available on a free transfer after his contract with J-League club Nagoya Grampus Eight expired in December.

Meanwhile, Kim's international team-mate Cho Jae-jin has returned to South Korea after failing to land a contract with a Premier League club.

The forward, who had unsuccessful trials with Newcastle United, Portsmouth and Fulham, is tipped to join K-League outfit Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
