West Brom warn Bolton off star pair

Bolton have been linked with moves for West Brom's Paul Robinson and Zoltan Gera this month - but Tony Mowbray is confident they will stay put.

Trotters chief Gary Megson signed both players for the Baggies during his tenure at The Hawthorns - and is reportedly keen to be reunited with them at the Reebok Stadium.

But Baggies boss Mowbray, who has steered his troops into top spot in the Championship table, is in no mood to sell two key first-team players.

He said: "There has been no contact whatsoever (with Bolton).

"I have had a good conversation with Paul Robinson and he is very determined and focused to make sure this club gets out of this league.

"We have addressed the speculation and hopefully we can put it to bed and forget about it and get on with things."

Mowbray is also optimistic Gera will complete the season before deciding on his future.

The Hungarian international is out of contract in the summer and Mowbray added: "I've never seen any speculation regarding Zoltan moving other than the fact he is out of contract and everyone expects there is going to be some news.

"Nobody has phoned about him, no-one has enquired about him and his performance levels have suggested he is happy enough with the way things are going and he is giving us everything he has got.

"I've got no problems with his performance level which has been very high.

"Let's wait and see. Hopefully Zoltan Gera is in the right frame of mind that he'd like to take the club back into the Premier League if at all possible and then come the summer he will have decisions to make on his future.

"If that is elsewhere because he wants a new challenge, then so be it. If it is here in the Premier League with this football club then that will be great as well."
