Hull City boss Nigel Pearson has said that the Tigers have made an enquiry about West Bromwich Albion striker Roman Bednar, reports BBC Sport. The 27-year-old Czech has not started a Premier League game for the Baggies since the opening day of the season.

"We've been trying to strengthen the squad, but it's not been easy," Pearson told BBC Radio Humberside.

"We'll have to wait and see. We've made an enquiry and if we get anything more definite I will make a comment then."

He added: "The situation at his club is such that we've not been able to do it so far.

"I don't like to comment on other people's players until it is appropriate."
