Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola lavished praise on two of his forwards.

The Citizens manager was hugely impressed with the 'exceptional' performances of Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden.

Guardiola's team managed an impressive 4-0 win away at Brighton in the Premier League on Thursday.

“The way they defend, we decided to play that way without wingers and more fullbacks," he told journalists.

“They did really well. We found them with the process from Bernardo. Bernardo and Kova and the two central defenders.

“They did exceptional and that provokes the spaces for them. And they did really well."
