Villas-Boas insists Tottenham deserve greater recognition

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas feels they deserve more recognition for their season so far.

AVB was pleased with victory over Swansea City on Sunday.

He said: "Sometimes it doesn't seem you value the situation we have gone through. We lost Younes [Kaboul] for so much time, Gareth [Bale], [Mousa] Dembele, Parker, [Benoit] Assou-Ekotto, Rafa [Van der Vaart] and Modric - all these players played last year for Tottenham so this is a new team.

"Plus the injuries we had to this team, to have them back now is a major bonus for us. Benoit is not far off, Michael [Dawson] is returning next week, Bale next week, Scotty now so competition increases for players. It will be the first time we have these players available, which is an important thing for us."
