Villarreal goalkeeper Diego Lopez says leaving Real Madrid last summer was "the best decision in my life".

"The decision to come to Villarreal has been the best that I have taken in my entire life," said Lopez. "My intention was to play football and I had to leave Real Madrid because, in the shadow of Iker (Casillas), it is difficult, knowing that you are not going to play."
