Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is convinced of better things from Charles N'Zogbia.

The former Wigan Athletic attacker is champing at the bit ahead of the showdown with his former club.

"Charles has worked really hard over the past few weeks," said McLeish to Villa's website.

"He has a programme in the gym working on other parts of the body with Adrian (Lamb) and he's really applied himself well.

"I am looking for that kind of attitude from players.

"It was something we felt that, on studying players and analysing individual profiles, we have implemented some extra programmes for him."
