Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is happy with new deals for several of his young players this week.

The likes of Graham Burke, Samir Carruthers and Michael Drennan have all inked new terms.

Lambert told Villa's website: "I think it is important you've got that continuity there where the young lads maybe see something.

"I suppose younger kids would probably look at it and think we've got a chance here if we're good enough and step up really. I'm pretty sure that would happen."
