Former Tottenham boss Terry Venables has joined the call for Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole to be recalled by England for their Slovenia showdown.
In his column for The Sun, Venables wrote: "I would keep David James in goal and make just one change in the back four with Matthew Upson - more experienced than Michael Dawson - coming in for the suspended Jamie Carragher at centre-back.
"In midfield, I would persist with Gareth Barry and Frank Lampard playing slightly behind a more advanced Steven Gerrard, with James Milner and Joe Cole providing the width in the wide areas up front alongside Wayne Rooney.
"It would be a very fluid formation, designed to keep possession."
