Manchester United manager-in-waiting Louis van Gaal is ready to hand Ryan Giggs a role on his coaching staff.
The Daily Star says Van Gaal was expected to bring in his own coaching staff and make former Holland and Barcelona star Patrick Kluivert his right hand man.
But it is understood he has changed his mind and bowed to pressure from United bosses to hand the role to Giggs instead.
Club legend Giggs became caretaker-manager following Moyes's dismissal and was keen on securing the job full time.
But the United board believe he is too inexperienced for the role and want him to learn the ropes under Van Gaal instead.
It remains to be seen if Giggs will accept the job and he has refused to discuss his immediate future.
