Tottenham have joined Premier League rivals Everton in the race to sign Manchester United defender Johnny Evans.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the injury-plagued Northern Ireland international is set to leave Old Trafford this summer as his current deal runs out in one year and he has not yet been offered a new deal by Louis van Gaal.

Evans has recently been linked with the Toffees and now Spurs have thrown their hat in the ring for the 27-year old who has been with United since he was 16.
