NBA icon Kobe Bryant is being linked with Bologna's new ownership.
New Bologna President Joe Tacopina leads a group of American investors, including Montreal Impact owner Joey Saputo.
"I received an incredible welcome today," said Tacopina at a Press conference.
"Our efforts for the rebirth of Bologna will be constant, because we want to bring a glorious club like Bologna back to the top.
"It is an honour for us to look after this club, we believe in the future and have important projects. Our project is long-term and could last for decades.
"We will re-open the season ticket sales, as that can underline the importance of the fans. I want to tell the supporters that your dreams are our dreams."
On talk of Bryant being involved, Tacopina added: "Many things have been said.
"If we talk about potential partners then we can name him, but at the moment there is nothing certain."
