Harry Kewell is still a target for A-League club Sydney FC it has been revealed. The 32-year old former Leeds United, Liverpool and Galatasaray winger has been linked with a return to Australia for a few months now with Melbourne Victory and Sydney his most likely destinations.
Although it seemed that the Sky Blues had pulled out of the race, club CEO Dirk Melton told au.fourfourtwo.com that there is still contact with the Socceroos star's management.
"We are continuing to pursue him," said Melton.
"It goes without saying what he'd bring to Sydney FC but also to Australian sport. His signing, if it did happen, would transcend football."
Apart from the proposed A-League return, Kewell is also being linked with clubs in England, China and Dubai.
