Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey hopes to gatecrash England's World Cup squad.

Shelvey is floating after his amazing goal in victory over Aston Villa.

"If it happens it happens," Shelvey said.

"It would be lovely to be thought of, but it is where you are and what his plans are and I am sure if I play like I have been then who knows.

"I have been happy with my form but the main thing is the team."
