Sunderland are chasing Sheffield United's want-away attacker Diego de Girolamo.

De Girolamo has rejected new terms offered by the Blades and will leave in the summer on a Bosman.

The Daily Star Sunday says he as agreed in principle to move to Juventus when he is out of contract at the end of this season.

But Sunderland hope it is not too late to agree a deal for De Girolamo, who has returned to York City on loan from Sheffield United.
