Scotland assistant Mark McGhee admits that his national team are interested in Steven Caulker.
The 21-year old Cardiff City centre-back, who has already played for England at senior level, is eligible to represent Scotland because of his Scottish grandmother.
McGhee admitted that a player like Caulker would be of great benefit to Scotland especially seeing as he is still available after only playing a friendly with the Three Lions.
"He's someone who does fit the criteria as I understand it," Gordon Strachan's no.2 said.
"We know who the boy is, we knew about him before he was at Tottenham. We're interested in looking at all players who meet the criteria."
