AS Roma's director of football Walter Sabatini has insisted that the club is not about to offload Daniele De Rossi to Manchester City.
The reigning Premier League champions have been heavily linked with a £25million move for the Italian midfielder but Sabatini says that the Giallorossi have no intentions to sell their star, unless it's a crazy offer.
"De Rossi is a leader for us, and therefore we never considered selling him," Sabatini told the Corriere Dello Sport.
"We are not looking for anyone to buy De Rossi, because he is extraordinarily important for us, a player who is irreplaceable, and so it would be difficult to even look at an indecent proposal.
"If a monstrous offer materializes, then we will evaluate."
