Super agent Enzo Bronzetti says Manchester City were willing to pay a world record fee for Kaka in 2009.AC Milan famously pulled the plug on the deal as fans protested against the sale.
Bronzetti recalled to TMW: "In 2009, Kaka was sold to Manchester City for the sensational sum of €109 million. There were contracts signed, missing only the announcement.
"The protests of the fans and the reverse on behalf of the club blew up the deal.
"Kaka was sold six months later to Real Madrid for €67 million. So AC Milan lost practically €40 million from that transfer."
