Redknapp happy with Tottenham options

Harry Redknapp was happy with the different number of options he could use in last night's 5-1 Carling Cup win over Doncaster.

Despite a slow start, Spurs again scored at will and the fact Redknapp was able to play some 'back-up' players and see them perform well was a good sign.

"It was amazing they started so well, and our keeper had to pull off some great saves but they did look lively as they passed the ball and their movement," Redknapp said of Doncaster's beginning.

"I said to Joe Jordan after about six minutes - 'Is this Real Madrid?' I mean they were playing some unbelievable stuff but then we scored a couple of goals and it was difficult after that.

"I managed to rest a few and we've got a strong squad so I could change the front two forwards and Crouchie came in and scored which is great.

"Pavlyuchenko and Gio [Giovani Dos Santos] and David Bentley got a chance to play in those wide positions and were lively and it was a good all round performance.

"We're not short really in any area," he added. "All I ever said was if we could find anyone who could make a difference to us in a certain position we might try and get somebody.

"There's one or two players who I've got in mind and if we could get one of them I'd be very happy but if not we'll crack on because we've got a good squad."
