Rangers will find out today which competition their newco will be competing in next season.
The Ibrox club will not play in the Scottish Premier League after being voted against by the top flight clubs following their fall into liquidation and will now learn which division they will be dropped into at a Scottish Football League meeting at Hampden.
At this point, a majority of SFL clubs appear to have Rangers put into the Third Division despite subtle hints from the Scottish Football Association to have 'Gers placed into Scotland's second tier. A reform released on Wednesday suggests the SFA want clubs to ensure Rangers newco would start afresh in the First Division but that decision will be made by the SFL clubs later today.
