QPR are confident of signing Toronto FC striker Jermain Defoe in January. The London Evening Standard says QPR have a deal in place to sign Defoe when the transfer window reopens in January.
Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is confident Defoe will move to Loftus Road from FC Toronto on a three-year contract worth around £90,000 a week.
Defoe has always been a Redknapp favourite - the 67-year-old signed him for both Tottenham and Portsmouth. The 32-year-old looked likely to join forces with him again in the summer after Toronto agreed an £8million deal - only to pull the plug at the last minute, insisting they would only sell the striker in January.
