PSV Eindhoven have dismissed reports linking defender Erik Pieters with a move to Italy.

Napoli are interested in the 22 year-old.

But PSV chief Marcel Brands told TMW: "The player, just before Christmas, has extended his contract for two years, and has done with the specific aim to stay with us.

"So I do not think he can go. In any case, we've never received any request, maybe someone has contacted his agent but certainly not PSV."
