Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch has revealed how the management team of Paul Hart and Brian Kidd has breathed new life into the coaching at the club.
"We're learning things every day," the England striker revealed on Pompey's website. "Brian's been helping me believe in my game.
"You can always learn new things - no matter how old you are. When different people come in there is always something different that you can take from them, so it's been really good.
"Brian's been fantastic. He worked with possibly the most successful manager - Sir Alex Ferguson - and you can't fail to learn from someone like that.
"But it's not just his experience - it's his mannerisms and personality. He's lively and that's just the sort of character you need.
"And Paul's come in and instilled a bit of confidence in the lads. Obviously we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but things are looking brighter.
"As soon as they came in, they spoke to us and put their ideas across straight away, which was good."
