Newcastle United haven't shelved their pursuit of FC Twente defender Douglas.
The People says Fabricio Coloccini told Argentinian television on Friday that he intends to stay for at least another season.
However Newcastle are still interested in FC Twente's central defender Douglas, a free agent on July 1, especially as Mike Williamson is wanted by his former Watford boss Malky Mackay at Cardiff.
