Newcastle United are eyeing Ajax fullback Ricardo van Rhijn.
The Evening Chronicle says Dutch sources have indicated that right-back Van Rhijn is a potential target for the Magpies after United ran the rule over the defender last season.
Newcastle's presence in Holland was underlined this week after Siem de Jong became the club's major summer signing.
However, there has been plenty interest in Van Rhijn from Premier League clubs.
Chelsea and Everton have also looked at the player in the last 12 months.
