Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri thanked his players for the perfect birthday present after their 3-0 thumping of Inter Milan.

The Partenopei crushed Inter 3-0 at San Siro, but only after a series of controversial refereeing decisions, including a penalty and Joel Obi's dismissal.

"I thank my players for having given me the greatest birthday gift I could've asked for," said the Coach.

"Incidents do happen in football and I said the same last season when we conceded a penalty and then lost against Milan.

"I think we played well and in terms of overall performance we deserved the win tonight. We were denied a clear penalty against Fiorentina last week, so mistakes happen to everyone over the course of a campaign."
