Montreal Impact are still in pursuit of Italian midfielder Marco Donadel as they continue to plan for the 2015 MLS season.
The 31-year old former Fiorentina star is currently a free agent after finishing with Napoli earlier this year and it is strongly believed that he is considering a move to MLS.
Impact head coach Frank Klopas told MLSsoccer.com that Donadel is still on the radar as the Canadian outfit maintain their hunt for a quality holding midfielder.
"(Donadel) is still an option," Klopas said.
"[Midfield is] an area of the field where we need to bring more of a No. 6, holding midfielder.
"Not only to break out plays but also to be kind of a distributor out of the back, more of a playmaker deep, and then, more of a box-to-box player.
"We also want to bring more athleticism, be more dynamic in the middle, and then bring the leadership that we're looking for."
