Orlando City SC has landed Donovan Ricketts with the first pick in the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft.
The 37-year old Jamaican goalkeeper has joined the Lions from Portland Timbers on Wednesday in the draft conducted for next year's new clubs - Orlando and New York City FC.
Former Bradford City gloveman Ricketts has been in MLS since 2009 and has twice won the Goalkeeper of the Year award - in 2010 with the LA Galaxy and in 2013 with Portland. He has spent time with Montreal Impact in 2012.
With the second selection, New York City took former Real Salt Lake midfielder Ned Grabavoy and also added the likes of Patrick Mullins, Jason Hernandez, Daniel Lovitz and Tony Taylor.
Orlando's top few picks included Tony Cascio, Jalil Anibaba, Pedro Ribeiro and Lewis Neal.
