Millwall great Warner could become Accrington's NINTH keeper this season

Accrington Stanley have made a double loan swoop including that of veteran goalkeeper Tony Warner.

?The 40-year old has been brought in by the League Two club who are suffering a keeper shortage at present.

?Joining the former Millwall and Liverpool gloveman at the Crown Ground is teenage winger Ryan Jennings from Wigan Athletic.

?Warner, who last played in the UK back in 2011, could well become Stanley's ninth custodian to play this season if manager John Coleman opts to throw him in against Newport County at home on Saturday.

?"Andrew Dawber's injured and we've taken a chance over the last couple of weeks with no keeper on the bench," said Coleman.

?"That's not ideal, it's tempting fate, and you'll get your fingers burnt if you keep doing it.

?"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about something happening to Scott Davies with no cover available and we don't want to try to keep getting away with it.

?"Tony's helping us out. He has a good football pedigree but he'll also be good to have around the place. He's coaching now at Bolton but will be able to play for us and it's an ideal situation for both of us."?
