Memphis Depay becomes tenth Dutchman to join Man Utd

PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay moves to Manchester United as the club's tenth Dutchman.

It was announced this morning that United and PSV had agreed terms for Depay.

Arnold Mühren in 1982 became the first Dutch player to join Manchester United.

It took fourteen years for numbers two and three: Jordi Cruyff and Raimond van der Gouw were signed in the summer of 1996 by Sir Alex Ferguson.

In the years that followed Fergie added more Dutch names to Old Trafford.

Jaap Stam (1998), Ruud van Nistelrooy (2001), Edwin van der Sar (2005), Robin van Persie (2012) and Alexander Buttner (2012) joined United under Ferguson.

The ninth Dutchman to arrive at Manchester United was Daley Blind , last summer.
