Liverpool legend Steve McManaman says Manchester City have suffered this season without quality wingers.
McManaman, who ended up at City after a stellar career with Liverpool, Real Madrid and England, thinks Mancini needs to broaden his thinking to give his team an extra option.
"I've been saying all along that City need wide men," said McManaman.
"I thought in the Champions League games they needed a lot more width. They were very reliant on the full-backs to get forward and I thought they were very narrow in certain games.
"The strange thing is, they've got wingers. They bought Scott Sinclair but for reasons I don't know, it doesn't look like Mancini fancies him.
"They had Adam Johnson as an option but didn't utilise him that much and then they got Sinclair but don't use him that much."
