Manchester United will take a close look at Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski tonight. The Sun says the Red Devils told Borussia Dortmund they were willing to pay £16million for the Polish forward in the summer.
The move went cold when Arsenal gave the green light to sell their star striker Robin van Persie to United.
However boss Alex Ferguson is a long-term admirer of Lewandowski, 24, and wants to be kept informed of his situation.
And he is likely to send scouts to watch the forward when he plays at Manchester City in the Champions League this evening.
