Manchester City will challenge Chelsea for Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery - if he declares himself available.

The Sun says plans to make a decision on his future within the next 10 days.

Ribery has just one year left on his contract and, if he refuses to extend it, Chelsea and City will make their moves.

The Frenchman said: "Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea are still interested in me and they want me to play for them.

"I will determine in the very near future what I will do next year. I hope in the next week or in the next 10 days."
