Marseille striker Djibril Cisse - a reported target for seven Premier League sides - has issued a come-and-get-me plea to clubs in England.

The former Liverpool man has set his sights on a return to the Premier League for family reasons.

Cisse spent two years at Anfield before initially joining Marseille on loan in 2006 before making the move to Stade Velodrome 12 months later.

A number of English sides are thought to be tracking Cisse with Marseille believed to be willing to let the flying striker move on. Manchester City, West Ham, Tottenham and Portsmouth all tried to sign Cisse during the January transfer window and now Blackburn, Fulham and Wigan are reportedly interested in signing the former Auxerre hitman.

"It's my wish now to be back in England," Cisse told the Observer. "I had a good time in Marseille, but I really want to come back.

"My wife is from Wales and my family is here, but the main thing is the league. I think I am more of an English football type, I think it suits me better.

"I think if you are quick and strong - physically and mentally - you can do something in England. And I want to prove to everybody that I am a good player and I can do good things."
