Manchester City are chasing Tottenham Aaron Lennon.
The Daily Star Sunday says City want England winger Lennon to replace Shaun Wright-Phillips.
City are prepared to allow striker Emmanuel Adebayor to go to Tottenham on loan in exchange for Lennon, 24.
But the stumbling block is that while Spurs boss Harry Redknapp wants former Arsenal striker Adebayor, 27, he doesn't want to lose Lennon.
It was thought that City may be interested in taking England striker Jermain Defoe, 28, in a swap deal for Adebayor but while Carlos Tevez, 27, remains at the Etihad Stadium that is unlikely.
