Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is maintaining interest in Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti.
Corriere dello Sport says City failed to agree terms for Marchetti in the final hours of the January market, but remain keen on the Italy international.
Mancini sees Marchetti as a replacement for Shay Given, who will be allowed to move on over the summer.
Marchetti is desperate to quit Cagliari after being frozen out this season due to a contract dispute.
