Lazio coach Edy Reja was thrilled to do the derby double over AS Roma yesterday.
The result comes just ten days after Reja offered his resignation.
"There was an exchange of opinions with the directors and then we sorted it out. I realise it doesn't happen every day that a Coach resigns when in third place, but I was coming off the 5-1 defeat to Palermo and was a little tense, so reacted that way.
"There is a long way to go, we're currently in a good position and I hope the team can maintain this concentration now that we're no longer in Europe. Above all, we must try to recover physically.""Our ambition was to improve what we did last season, which wasn't easy, but the club worked well on the transfer market and we're on track," he said of the 2-1 victory over Roma.
